On the east side of Naxos, following the coastal route that commences from Moutsouna (15km further) you will reach Panormos. It is a small, natural, sheltered bay with turquoise waters, surrounded by a few small houses and palm trees. Traces of the first Cycladic acropolis have been discovered in the area of Panormos. The islands of Koufonisia, Irakleia, Shoinousa, Keros and Amorgos can be seen in the distance from the beach. It is a virgin beach, free of tourist facilities, and it is an ideal destination for tranquillity but also for those who enjoy diving and snorkelling. A canteen is the only tourist facility you will find on the beach.
