Moutsouna is a picturesque harbour on the south-eastern side of the island, 7km from the village of Apeiranthos. The sandy beach is quiet with deep blue waters. The journey to Moutsouna is of great interest as it runs along the teleferic line which was used for transporting emery from the mine tunnels, dug out in the mountains, to the loading line at the harbour of Moutsouna. The journey combines the mountainous view with breathtaking sea views and the Small Cyclades.
At the village situated above the beach, you will find all you need (convenience stores, cafes, accommodation choices). Also, you can dine at the traditional taverns serving local delicacies; home made meals and sea food.
