On your sixth day we suggest you take the route leading to the Northmost village of Naxos, the village Apollona. There are two route from the main town taking you to Apollona. You can either follow the coastal route of Gallini- Eggara or the mainland route through the villages of Potamia-Halki-Koronos-Mesi. Initially, to get there take the mainland route which will take you through many smaller and bigger villages in order to get to know mainland Naxos better. On the way, you can make quick stops to explore some of these villages or to have a break since the route is quite long. Reaching Apollona you must visit the Kouro of Apollona and take a swim at the spot behind the breakwater (the beach is exposed to strong northern winds). A wide variety of cafes, taverns and ouzeri(taditional taverns offering ouzo and meze dishes) are available. On the way back, take the coastal route Naxos-Egkara which passes through Hilia Vrysi and Agia. On the way there, there are several spots that are worth stopping at to enjoy the views and take spectacular photographs especially during sunset.
In the evening, you can begin at the main town with a drink by the sea in the area just under the public parking area and if in the mood, continue on to one of the clubs just above the parking area.
